Why Sarah Palin Should Reject Running in 2012
As Sarah Palin begins to show up again, giving speeches that challenge the current political climate, it seems everyone wants to know what her role will be in politics. Currently, she is a contributor on Fox News, but the question everyone is asking, from her fans to her enemies, is will she run in 2012? At rallies the Palin 2012 signs are held high, and after every speech she gives, the media puts the question out there. I do agree that she has much to offer conservatives and would be good for this country, however there is a role she can play that could be much more beneficial to the American people.
If she were to run for the White House, there are many restrictions that she would have to deal with. No matter how she spins it, leaving the governorship in Alaska will come back to bite her. Even if she successfully attains high office, how much “change” can she accomplish? That being said, there is a position that would be perfect for a person like Sarah Palin, and liberals every where would shutter if she makes this move.
Sarah Palin should be the Chairman of the Republican National Committee. That would be the break the Republicans have been looking for. She is a power house in popularity, and she could redefine the Republican party to align them more with conservative principles. She could effect real change by endorsing real conservatives. A person like Sarah Palin would strengthen the entire Republican party given an unrestricted opportunity. She is outspoken, strong and conservative to the core. Her position on energy, global warming, national security, and health care is just what this raggity old party needs.
In conclusion, it is my opinion that Sarah Palin should reject running for office and be a leader to those seeking office by running the RNC. Allowing her to bring the party back to conservatism would be the ultimate role for a figure like Sarah Palin. Instead of signs reading Palin 2012 at the tea parties, we should she Palin, RNC Chair NOW! It could be a chance for the Republican party to become the tea party.

Palin is a living icon of the anti-intellectualism that tends to grip America in uncertain times. Simple messages for simple minds: The truth or logic in the message doesn’t really matter. “Change is dangerous, and anyone who thinks too much must be up to something.” “States have the right to forbid abortion, require religious indoctrination in public schools, and criminalize common sexual practices, but states don’t have the right to legalize medical marihuana or authorize same-sex marriage.” “Anything the government does to you in the interest of (so-called) national security is fine, but anything the government does to help those who need help is communism.”
In my more cynical moments, I’ve said that no politician ever lost an election by under-estimating the wisdom of the American electorate. That’s not quite true, of course. What is true is that many voters will flock to crackpots and numbskulls who just say things they want to hear.
Progressives will never succeed in this country ,no matter how you try to camouflage it!!!!!

Oh yeah…the dems are doing a fantastic job ..NOT…
Ha! As a liberal I would welcome her run for President in ‘12. Not because she has a realistic chance of winning, she doesn’t. It would make The GOP’s run that much harder. As it is, Americans have little confidence in the GOP’s ability to govern. A wedge for the populist howl between pedestrian conservative politics and progressive rule would be a coup on all levels. Good luck with that.
