The New American Patriot
There are times in history where the resolve a certain group of people will be tried by fire. For Americans who believe the US is great due to her principles and values, the storm clouds are on the horizon. If those clouds continue to build and if we get hit by this perfect storm of tyranny policies, the trial of the American patriot will be at hand. No one knows what kind of trials there will be, and no one knows what will be required of these patriots. We do know this, this country will not be taken over easily.
Already, the blogs buzz with American patriotism. The wanna be tyrant front is being exposed from the shadows daily. There are sites such as biggovernment.com, pjtv.com, drudgereport.com, glennbeck.com, and even this site blogspression.com, who work daily to solidify the new patriot’s agenda. That agenda is freedom. Freedom is a very dangerous to aspiring tyrants because of its history of inspiring people to do things they would otherwise never do. It took men, like our founders, and forged them into tyranny’s biggest nightmare. These men probably never wanted to rebelled against their government, but when freedom is suppressed, men of honor put their wants aside for the future of the country and its people.
When people desire to control a free people, it creates a dangerous situation. It is not outrageous that people desire to be free. If we continue down this road of slavery, the patriot of this country will be forced to throw off the tyrant. If the right of the people to bear arms makes a government official uneasy, it may be because they are aspiring tyrants. We were given that right to keep tyranny away from the people. The people don’t want to use force, nor am I advocating it. As long as other avenues are still available, we should use them.
Here are some reason our founders threw off the government in their times. These are the gripes against the ruling King (This is an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence)
He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
These are too familiar to us these days. The following statement is not my own, but can be found in the Declaration as well:
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
