Non Political Health Care Reform That Will Work

Leave it to the government to complicate things to the point of insanity. Why in the world would they propose an enormous bill that is incoherent to revise health care? I think we know by now that it is due to special interests. I would like to take a moment to propose the Anthony Plan for better health insurance.

Step1: Open competition beyond state borders for health insurance. (After all, that is what a public option would offer us and that would be unfair to companies trying to survive in only one state) You can find an example of this in the car insurance industry. Competition drives prices and the people will benefit when all the dust settles.

I hope that plan is not too complicated for the Washington brainiacs in our government. I mean it’s worth trying first before we get into all this mess they are proposing. It doesn’t cost the taxpayer anything and it emboldens private industry. Much less paperwork for Congress and non one would need an interpreter to decipher what the bill means.
