Go Yanks! Beat Those Cheating Phillies

phesThis is a bit off topic for this blog, but its World Series time and the Yankees are going to win…eh hmm… again! I wanted to point out a couple things I noticed that none of the Fox or ESPN people mentioned or discussed or hardly even talked about it … you know, political correctness and all.

Alex Rodriguez has been hit by a pitch three times in the past two games. Mark Teixeira has been hit twice. For over one hundred years the baseball tradition has been, if a team starts plunking your players (especially your top two hitters), you nailem’ back just to keep it fair. One solid drilling to one of the other teams top hitters, and the point is made. The teams will both know that they can’t get away with it since they will take a plunk right back. That’s the way it has always been. Players understand this, managers understand this, most fans understand this, and umpires understand this… well, they used to.

Sunday night’s game was ridiculous. A-Rod gets hit A-GAIN!! and the dopey umpires immediately warn both teams that the next “intentional” hit batter will cause the pitcher and manager of the offending team to be ejected. In case you weren’t watching, the Yankees have not hit ANYBODY the whole series. In the immortal words of Joe Morgan, live on the radio during the game, “That’s bull!” That’s right, that’s bull! That warning is supposed to come after the team that took the hit(s) gets a chance to retaliate. THEN, the warnings can go out and the game goes on. So why are the Phillies allowed to hit the Yankees number 3 and number 4 hitters a total of FIVE FRIGGIN’ TIMES and the Yankees get warned not to retaliate?I guess they need to cheat to try and take an edge. They are going to lose, so why not try and injure the Yankees best players. Even with that, they are still going to lose.

I noticed in the first game in Phillies Stadium, world-renown, rude,  moronic, neanderthal Philadelphia fans started chanting “Yankees Suck”, very loudly. The Fox announcers didn’t acknowledge it, but the Yankees did! If you payed attention, you would have noticed how when Melky Cabrera, Teixeira, and other players made the last out of an inning, instead to throwing the ball into the stands (which is now customary, even for visiting teams), they would fake a throw to the stands…. and then… throw it to the umpire or pitching mound. Basically telling the Phanatics where to stick it. I thought it was awesome. Later in the game, when the Phillies were losing (A-GAIN), the moron’s started the chant again, which was basically calling there own team complete losers. You see, idiots, if the team that is beating your team “sucks”, then your team is worse than sucky… whatever that may be.

I thought I would just clarify that for anyone who might have been confused. The team that really sucks, is the one in the red and white uniforms. If you don’t believe me, just watch the previous two games, and Monday night’s game.

GO YANKS!

Wow this is ridiculous. When you lean into pitches, they tend to hit you. It’s unfortunate the Phillies don’t have another 88 million to spend to have an all star team. Could you imagine The Phillies with another 88 million? That would put Joe Mauer as our catcher, Roy Halladay and Tim Lincecum as our #2 and #3 pitchers, and give us a huge bullpen and 3rd base upgrade. With money to spare. The Yankees 201 million dollar salary, double the MLB average makes them a pack of cheaters. Imagine an NFL, NBA, or NHL team with TWICE the salary of their competition, talk about a dynasty! Instead the Yanks somehow manage to buy enough talent to FINALLY win one out of the last 8 titles. It’ll likely be their last for a while, I think a soul only gets you one World Series win nowadays.

I totally agree with your statement about the Phillies being cheats. Fortunatley the Yankees showed up to win and play ball, and demonstrated a better character of class by refraining from any retaliation by beaning the other players. Forget hitting the best players on their team. They should just aim one at the head of their pitchers next year to get even. I’m sick of other pitchers thinking they can get away with this crap! Lets see if they continue doing this when its them who has to take a fastball to the back or hip. And did you notice that the announcer was saying something along the lines of “If they have to pitch inside to strike you out, its gonna happen”…when describing how it was supposedly ok that A-Rod kept getting plunked by pitches. He’s a classy guy. All he said to the refs was “It’s getting to be a little obvious.”
