America Was Changed

By Anthony on Sunday, December 20, 2009 in General | Politics

Washington-DCIt wasn’t long ago that this great nation was a beacon of freedom to those around the world. The United States represented a new life to those who were oppressed by tyrannical governments and dictators. Freedom meant speaking your mind about the issues dear to you. A man can become wealthy in his own life time. Innovation, in this free country, brought us to the moon and back. There was a time when it was the norm to consider others as important as yourself. The United States was never perfect, nothing in this life will ever be perfect, but we were a nation of laws and values. True leaders have values, and you cannot pay a man or woman with values enough to compromise what they believe. People by the millions waited outside our gates with great expectations and intentions.

A new day has dawned in the United States. This beacon of freedom is rapidly blending in to look like every other mediocre nation. You may go as far as the government tells you. We are willing to mandate companies to hire the less qualified people so that the office “holiday” picture looks nice and multicultural. In this new era we have abolished guilt and sin, but not the eternal implications. Once you cross a certain threshold in society, the laws and penalties are different for you. Even going to prison can be an enjoyable venture for some. We have MYspace, YOUtube, and FACEbook, where each individual can glorify and praise their own ego. It appears reality has slipped away and everyone is acting like they are starring in their own movie. People no longer have value in this society. Today’s special is instant gratification and you may have it any way you like. Since sin has been wiped out, you can do what you please as long as you don’t hurt anyone else, all the while utterly tearing yourself to shreds. Guilt follows us like an ever growing shadow looking to engulf our very soul. We look to those who we’ve offended and now the logical conclusion is to rid this world of them, so husbands murder wives. Mothers convince themselves that it would be better if their children never lived, and our society welcomes them with open arms into the abortion clinic. Who is there when the blood has been spilled and the woman realizes that innocent blood is on her hands? She has been tricked, and now it’s too late.

In the our revised United States, leadership has broken down. Since morality is in shambles, the people in charge are the living monuments of all that is despicable. Our leaders used to care about the people they led. A feeling of responsibility came with the office. That day has long since passed. It is unclear what the values of our leaders are, since for the right price they are willing to conform to your wants and sell out. Your voices outside their office window have become nothing more than noise pollution to their hardened hearts. Soon they will have to rid the streets of dissension; it’s hard to do wrong when the voice of your conscience is echoing in the streets. These are men and women of the worst kind. They stand for nothing and fall for everything. They have completed the change and let their guard down. The light of freedom flickers like a candle burning out. All is not lost though; they have given Americans one last thing. All we’re left with is that memory of greatness, a story to tell our children and their children. Once upon a time if you offered communism to an American he’d spit in your face and proclaim that you can have it over his dead body. Now that politicians are bodies without souls, the door has been left wide open.

  1. Ok, I am not in favor of a theocracy, that’s true. People should be afforded the freedom to worship and even invite others into the faith. This was never intended to be a nation apart from religion (regardless of your opinion on religion). We have the freedom to pray in school just like you have the freedom not to. Neither should be discriminated against.
I have a side question though, If God isn’t real, why all the animosity toward Him? I’m don’t rant about Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, oh yeah, that’s because I know they aren’t real. I guess I could spend time yelling at little kids who actually believe that stuff, but once again, I know it isn’t real. So what’s your excuse. Perhaps you know God is real (look around you at creation or look in the mirror)and are suppressing the truth. I’ll pray for you.

Chris, maybe you should apply the same logic to famous criminals, like Roman Polanski. Nominated for 5 academy awards including best picture 3 times! Over 12 landmark movies to his credit. One of the best Directors in Hollywood history! Did I leave anything out? Oh yeah, he raped and sodomized a 13 year old girl. But, we’re over that now. Right?

I think this article has merit, if we are talking about what our future looks like on it’s current course. I believe the slaughter, as you call it of American Indians, is what we call taking over. It has happened throughout history with nations. It’s how they are established.Slavery and segregation are things this country has overcome, with exception to self imposed segregation that many are part of these days. Domie you sound like someone who likes to remember the blemishes of a great nation. Why so self loathing?

What a load of crap. How come you left out the parts about the slaughter of American Indians, slavery and segregation? Your post reads like a eulogy.
